The secrets of good make up are now available to everyone thanks to Jo-anne Jewett. She has teamed up with Becki Evans of Red Square Photography, John Street, Ashbourne, to launch The Face Club, which offers make-up and photographic packages.

“Becki really understands what I am trying to achieve,” said Jo-anne. “Pictures are taken at every stage of the make-up lesson so women have a permanent record of how to do their make-up.” The packages, which start at £85, offer skin care and colour advice, full application tuition, a personal chart, eyebrow shape, a professional photo shoot, mounted print and £10 gift certificate for cosmetics from Bennetts of Ashbourne.

“It is fantastic,” said Caroline Scott, assistant at Red Square Photography. She has reaped the benefits of Jo-anne’s advice. “She told me I was wearing completely the wrong colours. I used to wear blue eye make-up and red lipstick. I now wear mauves and a lighter pink lipstick. She also shaped my eyebrows, which made the biggest difference. “I’m a busy mum of two but I can do my make-up in five minutes and feel completely different about myself.”
